Words of Wisdom from Cornelia:

“To do anything well we must do it with our hearts, with our minds and with our strength, for the love of God”. Cornelia Connelly

In this thought-provoking quote Cornelia is saying that if something is worth doing at all, it is worth doing well. We are being challenged by Cornelia to reflect on the way we undertake tasks. Her words remind us that it is always very worthwhile and rewarding when we wholeheartedly commit to anything we undertake.

We see this every day in Holy Child.

On our school App we read of so many commendable initiatives, outreaches and achievements within our school community. The week began with the fabulous April Airs Sunday Recital, continued with creative initiatives celebrating Sustainability Week, alongside achievements in Debating and Sport, and our wonderful social outreach programmes in SVP and the Social Action Hygiene Products Appeal - this week alone showcases the very best of a Holy Child education.

In all our actions and activities HCK students and staff give one hundred percent. This is inspired by our school motto, Actions not Words. We will excel when we approach our tasks and challenges with full effort and enthusiasm. Cornelia’s words tell us of the importance of putting our whole selves into our endeavours, giving our very best, and we should do this with a deep rooted sense of devotion to God.

In this final term everyone is also focused on class assessments and state exams, and we continue to aim for the excellent goals we have strived to achieve all year.

In true Cornelian spirit we are giving this year our all, and everyone in the HCK school community can be very proud of this.

Actions not Words.
