Congratulations to HCKSpeaks 2nd and 3rd Years, who competed in a friendly debate against Blackrock College on Tuesday 20th September.
Speakers were paired randomly, and given 20 minutes to prepare speeches on the topic ‘This House Believes That Funding For Political Parties Should Be Tied to Diversity’.
Congratulations to Louise and Rossa, who took the win in room 1, and to Tom and Laura, who won in room 2 and to best speaker Brian, and finally to Cecilia and Daniel who won in room 3.
Thank you so much to HCKSpeaks Seniors Jessica Berwick and Eve McGann, who chaired rooms 2 and 3, and to Minnie Mansfield, Alannah Bewley, Grace Mongey and Orla Casey for giving up their time to judge the debates.
