SHCJ Conference 2025
Each year, the SHCJ organises two conferences – one in November for school leaders/chaplains and teachers and the other in March for Heads of School.
Last week, Ms Keane and Mrs Dempsey travelled to Birmingham for the November Conference. They met with Mrs Anu O’Byrne, chaplain in Holy Child Sallynoggin, and Mrs Caroline O’Brien, past principal of HCK and ethos facilitator for the SHCJ European Province, and all travelled together.
In Birmingham, Mrs O’Brien and Dr Sarah Mullins MBE (past pupil, past Deputy Head and current parent of our sister school Priory School Edgbaston) facilitated wonderful presentations and activities on Cornelia Connelly: Her spirituality, educational legacy & meeting the wants of the age, Cornelian culture, ethos and vision, Growing student leaders who live Cornelia’s mission and Governance with a Cornelian Heart.
It was wonderful see Srs Angela, Jenny and Judith again, and to meet with teachers and chaplains from Birmingham, Blackpool, Cavensish and Mayfield.
Some exciting ideas about interschool events and activities were discussed, and we look forward to these being further developed in time.
