The Cornelia Connelly Bursary Programme (CCBP)
The Cornelia Connelly Bursary Programme (CCBP) was established as a pilot project in 2016 and underwent a full external review in 2024.
The Review findings were very positive with students, school staff and all stakeholders. We are proud to have been the first girls’ school in Ireland to offer a full financial bursary. Each year, we offer up to two students a full financial bursary for six years to attend Holy Child Killiney.
In line with our Catholic ethos and school motto, ‘Actions Not Words’, the CCBP promotes social justice and reflects our educational philosophy and belief in the transformative power of education.
This is not an academic, sporting, or arts scholarship, but rather a financial support initiative for families who wish to send their daughter to our school but are prevented from doing so due to financial constraints.
The CCBP is designed to support motivated students who have the potential to thrive at our school but may be unable to access it due to cost-related barriers. Applications are treated with the utmost confidentiality and are assessed based on genuine financial need, as well as the student’s potential to contribute positively to school life.
We believe that no child’s future should be limited by financial circumstances. Through the Cornelia Connelly Bursary Programme, we aim to provide opportunity, nurture potential, and support each student’s growth; academically, spiritually, and personally.
