Admissions
Application Process
Choosing a school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions you are ever likely to make on her behalf.
At HCK we know that you will have many questions which need to be addressed before you can make a fully informed choice for your daughter. Your priorities will vary depending on the individual needs of your child.
-
In October of the year before your daughter’s year of entry, the Annual Admissions Notice will be published. Applications will be accepted and places offered according to the criteria laid out in the Admissions policy. Offers will not be made before the date set out in the Annual Admissions Notice which will be posted on the school website and communicated to you.
If before 1 February 2020 you applied for a place in Holy Child Killiney with an entry date later than September 2025, you will need to apply again in October of the year before your desired entry date.

Here in Holy Child Killiney we welcome applications from international students for full or part of the academic year.
Every year we have a number of international students at the school who come to us directly or through international agents.
We currently have students from Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and Korea. We provide a rich learning experience in one of Dublin’s top girls fee-paying secondary schools.
The facilities and location of the school provide beautiful surroundings in a quiet part of County Dublin. Our international students quickly get involved and make friends within a warm and welcoming environment.
-
We are here to help at all times. While you may choose to organise a private tour of the school with the Principal, we encourage you to attend our Open Evening in September 2026 (date to be decided) Please email admissions@holychildkilliney.ie for further information.
Following amendments in The Education Admissions to Schools Act our admissions policy has been adjusted and is now compliant.
Open Evening
Each September, HCK opens its doors for an Open Evening, which allows prospective parents and students the opportunity to view the school and its facilities, while also meeting students, staff and existing parents.
With the emphasis on informality, it is hoped that the Open Evening provides a snapshot of life at Holy Child, and offers a genuine insight into the spirit of the school and its community.
Our Open Evening will take place on Thursday, 26th September, 2024 from 4.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
