Holy Child Carol Services
The Annual Carol Services are a highlight of the year for the Holy Child School Community. Held in our beautifully decorated Chapel, this year more than 80 girls were involved in these Services over two nights. The Liturgy was planned and led by the Chaplaincy Team, with wonderful music performances from the Choir and instrumental ensembles.
This year’s theme was ‘The Stations of Christmas’, drawing inspiration from the ‘Stations of the Cross’, to tell the story of the first Christmas in 7 prayerful reflections.
A dedicated group of 6th Years performed a unique White Glove Hand Dance, interpreting the lovely Carol ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’.
An array of traditional and modern Carols were performed by the choir and instrumental ensembles, and the whole Chapel came alive as everyone joined in with the congregational carols. The energetic performances, led by Ms Murray and Ms Moore, were truly uplifting, and everyone embraced the festive atmosphere, leaving the event feeling uplifted and full of Christmas spirit.
This fabulous evening of music, prayer and reflection perfectly encapsulated the hopeful message of Advent, and the joy of Christmas.
