Advent Morning Masses, Sharing the Light

Each Wednesday during Advent we celebrated Mass in our lovely Chapel. This lovely sacred space is filled with festive cheer with our beautiful Advent Wreath, Christmas Crib and colourful House Trees with all our personal Prayer Intentions.

We were delighted to welcome Fr Emmet O’Hara, Parish Priest of St Anne’s Parish, Shankill, to celebrate Mass with us. His comforting and assuring words about God’s love and guidance meant so much to everyone who had gathered for this weekly time of prayer, making space in our busy lives to embrace the message of this holy season, waiting in joyful hope for Christmas.

The presence of our student Eucharistic Ministers, Orla, Niamh, Sheana and Molly, added so much to each celebration, as did the lovely piano playing by Cecilia giving a reflective space to be still, and prepare for the day ahead. Thank you to all the students from 1st to 6th for volunteering to read and light candles on the Advent Wreath.

Once again 1st Years were our VIPs. Fr Emmet blessed the Holy Child Candles. A number of the Angels attended and they presented the candles to students of 1H, 1C and 1K, inspiring them to embrace the light of Actions Not Words.

Chaplaincy Prefect.
