Cornelia’s Labyrinth
Catholic Schools Week, Cornelia’s Labyrinth:
Holy Child students are enjoying the opportunity to play the Cornelia's Labyrinth Board Game during RE classes. They are learning about the life and legacy of our Foundress Cornelia Connelly in a fun way.
The girls engage enthusiastically with the various challenges given on the 'Leap of Faith' cards and 'Actions not Words' cards, following instructions carefully to progress along the board and reach the centre.
It is an entertaining and lively educational activity to celebrate Catholic Schools Week, which is a special time to celebrate all the blessings of a Catholic school.
In playing Cornelia’s Labyrinth Board game HCK pupils have an opportunity to reflect on the wonderful educational experiences they avail of as Holy Child students. Cornelia’s approach to education was inspired by her faith, and embraced the excellent characteristics of welcome, compassion, generosity, gratitude, forgiveness, trust and joy to name a few.
These are the qualities of Catholic schools, and are Christian values inspired by the message of Jesus, ensuring our faith schools have a truly wholistic approach to education. HCK seeks to nurture our students’ gifts and talents, helping each person to be their very best selves, as God created them to be. Every student is a reflection of God, with the mission to make society a kinder and more just place for all. Our school community works together in faith, hope and love, celebrating our Cornelian legacy, walking together to transform the world.
