AILO Success

Huge congratulations to Emily & Eleanor, 5th Year, who have qualified for the National Finals of AILO: the All-Ireland National Linguistic Olympiad.

AILO is a national educational competition in Ireland for secondary school students that challenges them to solve fascinating language and logic puzzles by analysing real language data and discovering patterns without prior linguistic study. It is hosted by the ADAPT Centre at Dublin City University and aims to build students’ problem-solving and logical thinking skills, inspiring interest in linguistics, computing and languages.

Out of almost 1,000 students nationwide, the Top 100 progressed from the Preliminary Round… and Emily and Eleanor were successful!

With 23 HCK entrants from 1st–5th year, this is an outstanding accomplishment and a real testament to all of our students’ talent and hard work. We are so proud of all of our entrants!

The National Final will be on March 4th in DCU.

We are incredibly proud of you both… best of luck in the next stage!
