A Royal Triumph: Our TY Production of ‘SIX: Teen Edition’ Reigns Supreme

Our Transition Year production of SIX: The Musical Teen Edition was an unforgettable triumph, with three sold out performances and three full standing ovations. The Queens delivered powerhouse vocals, sharp choreography and true star quality, supported by an imaginative staging concept that made our version completely unique. This was SIX like it has never been done before, complete with talented ‘Ladies in Waiting’ providing rich harmonies and colour coordinated royal tribes bringing each Queen to life in striking visual style! The result was a vibrant, high energy performance that had audiences smiling, cheering, on their feet and leaving the theatre with earworms that lingered for days. It created the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why school productions matter so much.

Behind the scenes, the production operated with the same professionalism and passion that shone onstage. Our crew included: Derek Nagle Sound led by Derek and his team, and Stage Lighting Centre led by Tomas Fitzgerald, whose expertise shaped the soundscape and lighting design with remarkable precision. The addition of an incredible nine piece live band gave our students the full musical theatre experience, lifting every song and moment to another level.

A special mention goes to Ms. Griffin, Pat Howe, Ms. Keane and Ms. Mulcahy, our dedicated production team whose vision knows no bounds and whose commitment made every detail possible. This journey gave our TY students confidence, friendships, and memories that will stay with them long after the final curtain, and our school community could not be prouder of what they created together.
