Athletics

This year we have had great interest from our 1st and 2nd year students for athletics in HCK. We are currently in the Cross Country part of the season. We have been able to take part in two races so far and look forward to the DCU Cross Country Invitational after Christmas break, which will be great practice in preparation for the East Leinster Schools Cross Country Championships. Below is what 1st year student Lara Woods had to say about the season so far.

” I have really enjoyed athletics so far. It has been so fun participating in competitions. Our first competition was the Brother’s cross country race in Santry. The distance of our race was 1km and the weather was lovely. Our second race was the Blackrock cross country relay race. It was really fun. It was a mixed distance relay and there were five people on each team. One of our teams ended up coming 3rd! It was a really fun day out and everyone enjoyed it. “
