Young Scientist Exhibition

Our 1st Year Science students went on a school trip to the RDS to attend the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition on Friday 9th January.

In HCK, we all learn about science in the classroom, but also about how science, technology and maths exist in the world around us - which is the point of the Young Scientist Exhibition! It is the largest STEM-based competition in Ireland. Students come from all over the country to display their own research and inventions for everyone to see.

The 1st Years observed many different research stations, took part in demonstrations, and brought home heaps of inspiration for science class (and also some fancy merch!). In STEM club, our students have taken this inspiration further, and are now brainstorming ideas and research topics for HCK's own entries into the Young Scientist competition for next year! Stay tuned! – Mr. Carroll
