Student Enterprise Programme County Final
Congratulations to our enterprising students who represented Holy Child Killiney in the Student Enterprise Programme DLR County Finals in the Royal Marine Hotel on the 13th March. Eighteen schools took part in the county final. Holy Child Killiney had students competing across all three categories: Junior, Intermediate and Senior.
Junior: BT (Bead n' Thread), Julia Gunning and Eloise Kelleher
Intermediate: Tea Twins, Robyn Summerbell, Delphine Narzisi
Senior: Slime Spot, Rachel Murdock, Amy O'Halloran, Anna Molloy and Sarah Dolan
The students set up their stands in the morning before the judges visited each stand to learn more about their businesses. The students engaged very well with the judges. They were confident, enthusiastic and clearly proud of what they had created.
The judges deliberated and announced the winners after lunch. Each group won an award, a fantastic result for the school:
BT (Bead n' Thread): 3rd in Junior Category
Tea Twins: 2nd in Intermediate Section
Slime Spot: 'Best Sales Award' in the Senior Section
Well done to all the students involved. Thank you to Ms. Redmond and Ms. Quinn for guiding the teams every step of the way from brainstorming ideas to launching their businesses and competing at county level.
