Environmental Committee and Green Schools

The HCK Environmental Committee embodies our school motto ‘Actions Not Words’.

Environmental issues are of great concern for us all. Making a real difference is very empowering. By being actively involved in our Environmental initiatives, all students become aware that they are part of the solution.

The HCK Environmental Committee fosters a strong sense of citizenship and leadership. It also promotes a strong sense of teamwork and enables students to become part of the decision-making process in school.

HCK is engaged with Green Schools Ireland and in the past have been awarded several Green School Flags including;

  • Litter and Waste

  • Energy

  • Water
