Student Leadership
At HCK, we recognise that each individual is different and we aim to provide each one of them with an interesting and enjoyable education, filled with intellectual, creative and physical stimulation.
In order to fully avail of the many opportunities afforded by HCK, all students are actively encouraged to become involved in every aspect of school life.
Student Council
Our Student Council is a representative structure for students only, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.
The Student Council aims and objectives are as follows:
To represent the views of the student body to the school management.
To enhance communication between students, management, staff and parents.
To promote an environment conducive to educational and personal development.
To promote friendship and respect among pupils.
To support the management and staff in the development of the school.
To represent the views of the students on matters of general concern to them.
To promote the core values as defined in the Mission Statement of Holy Child School Killiney
To be aware of and embody the Ethos of the school and its Cornelian influence so that all can advance in a spirit of co-operation and mutual support to the benefit of pupils, teachers, parents, guardians and the Community.
To provide opportunities for discussion, information and consultation about matters of concern to the student body.
The student council meets once a month during the academic year.
