A joyful and uplifting Mass is honour of St Patrick was held in the Chapel. There was a large attendance from students, with many staff and parents also present.
The sun was streaming in through our lovely stained glass windows and there was a festive atmosphere, with students’ personal shamrock prayers displayed on the Altar and on all the Chapel benches.
Students from different year groups were involved, leading the prayers in Irish and English, and providing beautiful music which added so much to the ceremony.
Fr Jim gave details of St Patrick’s life and legacy, and complimented the students for such meaningful engagement with the message of St Patrick, helping keep cherished traditions alive and relevant.
Goal shamrocks were distributed to all in attendance. A donation of €2 per person has been made to Goal, such that, with donations, €200 in total from the HCK Charity Fund has been transferred to support Goal’s work with communities in crisis.
