On Tuesday morning our Fourth Year Community Outreach Team enjoyed a very enjoyable session with the clients of Beaufort Day Care in Glasthule.
Following their weekly energetic sweep of the external grounds, tidying up Autumn leaves and wind swept debris, the girls came inside to prepare the craft activity. Using fabric, seasonal paper strips and coloured twine the plan was in place to make some attractive bookmarks.
Each client then assembled at least 3 bookmarks, working in a warm and friendly atmosphere, building cross generational connections with lots of lively conversation.
We are so proud of the students for their enthusiasm and friendliness, engaging with the clients with a warm hearted attitude and a wonderful spirit of kindness.
Actions not Words.
