Minor A narrowly defeated in Cup final.

The HCK Minor A hockey team were narrowly beaten in the Leinster Minor A cup by Foxrock 1-0 on Monday, 12th March in 3 Rock Rovers.

It was a strong physical game with Foxrock dominating the attack in the first half. Holy Child defended well with our Keeper  Sally Pigot taking off some outstanding saves.

The team settled down in the second half and had some good chances to take the lead with breaks from  Emma Kennedy and Sarah McFarlane .

Unfortunately, the deadlock was broken with a Foxrock break away goal 6 minutes from the end.

The team worked so hard to try and find an equalizer but it was not to be. A fantastic achievement to reach this Leinster final .The players and great supporters will always remember their day out in Marley.
