Gratitude is our chosen Cornelian Characteristic for this school year, and we are immensely grateful for the outstanding generosity of our wonderful HCK school community.

Local SVP Conferences were absolutely bowled over with the abundance of food hampers, beautifully wrapped gift bags and extremely kind financial donation. 27 HCK girls volunteered on the annual SVP Christmas Shopping Day, and 18 gift bags were donated to local families with young children who need some extra support at this time. 34 packed hampers were also donated, and a financial donation of €1,800 has been transferred to our local area SVP Conference. This includes family contributions, and profits donated from the Fourth Year Hot Chocolate Day and Candle-making Mini-Company.

Congratulations to Charlotte Canfield (6th Year), Lizzie Hall (1st Year) and Talulla McKenna (5th Year) who received lovely prizes in the SVP raffle.

Alongside this Sixth Year students ran a campaign in their own year collecting gifts for 21 young people who are in the EROC Centre on Roscommon, and donated new items of winter clothing for rough sleepers.

Cornelia would be proud.

Gratitude in abundance.
